Community Grants

There are many different Statutory powers under which a Parish Council can spend their money. Under one of these powers Hartwell Parish Council has, in the past, given the opportunity for village groups/organisations to apply for a grant. Any grant that it is approved will be budgeted for in the Parish Council precept using one of its statutory powers.

If, however there is no power they may incur, subject to conditions, expenditure which, in their opinion, is in the interest of, and will bring benefit to, their area or any part or all of its inhabitants.

Grant applications for 2018/2019 and any supporting documentation must be received by the Parish Clerk no later than 17.00hrs on Friday 1st September 2017.

Formal notification of the successful and unsuccessful applications will be sent out in writing by the end of January 2018.

Cheques to the successful applicants will be issued by the end of May 2018

Whilst Hartwell Parish Council has invited village groups/organisations to apply for a grant in the past there can be no guarantee that this will happen every year.
