Derek has been a member of Hartwell Parish Council since December 2018. He has lived in Hartwell since 1994.
He has been the Secretary of Hartwell Pocket Park since the project began in 2007.
He was one of a small group who organised a whole village survey and produced the Hartwell Parish Plan in 2011/12.
