David has been a long time resident of Hartwell. He was elected to the Parish Council in May 2010.

David is a representative for the Parish Council on the Pocket Park Management Group acting as a point of liaison between the two organisations.

David is a member of the Parish Council Community Safety Group and is the Parish Council representative on the Church Committee.

David is the Police Liaison Representative for the Parish Council and is Northamptonshire Police's single point of contact within the council.
